Rat Rios Hello My Name Is

HELLO, MY NAME IS… is a sadistic and eccentric dark comedy exploring the limits of identity and the relationship between spirit and body when one dies.

We reside in a town called Marmalade, where names are outrageous and life is a bit unconventional.  Our hero, Yours Truly, is a man who never gets credit for anything he does which is particularly inconvenient due to the dark secret he carries and his squeamish ways.

This non-linear and abstract portrayal of life and death truly shines with specific lights and sound and a minimalistic set, creating a definite atmosphere to parallel Marmalade and its heightened citizens and language.  With the use of flashbacks and a shape-shifting chorus, anything is possible on stage.

PLAY is the tale of three women exploring their irrational fears, unbeknownst to even themselves. When co-dependency plays a crucial role in relationships, control can easily dissipate from one’s fingertips and take a turn for the worse.

Paired with intricate and stylized design, this haunting story reveals what fears hold us prisoner in our adult lives.
